Returns

At A1 Sound we like to be fair, all we ask is for your patience should something be wrong with your purchase, we will do everything in our power to resolve any problem as fast and a painless as possible for all concerned.

Distance And Door Selling Act 13th June 2014 - your right to a cooling off period of 14 calendar days after receipt of goods.

Any purchase made from A1 Sound web site or telephone ordering service becomes a legal binding contract once payment has been received; the conditions of this are set out below.

Right To Cancel

As a consumer you have the right to cancel any order deemed as a distance order, this includes telephone/fax or Internet orders with in 14 days of receipt of goods.

If you decide to cancel your contract then you must first inform us in writing via a durable medium, either letter or fax, if you send confirmation via email please ensure we have received your cancellation by requesting acknowledgement of your communication.

Please return the goods within 14 calendar days of your cancellation request; we advise the goods be insured and tracked, as we will not accept the liability for goods damaged or lost in transit.

Once we have received the goods back, and inspected their condition, we will issue a refund in accordance our terms and conditions.

We are entitled to deduct from any refund we offer, the cost of any parts missing, including packaging, or any damage or unreasonable wear, a restocking fee may apply if the goods have been fully unboxed or used.

All returns must be done so at your cost, if we are requested to collect the items from you, then this will be deducted from your refund, our original shipping costs will not be deducted from any refund.

Any goods returned to us must be in original packing, undamaged and unused, with all accessories.

Fraud

To assist us in the prevention of fraud, if any of the details provided do not match or bring up an alert with our payment scheme, we may request further proof of identity. This may be a faxed copy of a utility bill, credit card bill, or a posted copy. If this is not provided then it could delay or prevent the shipping of the goods.

In the event we are not satisfied with the information provided, a refund will be issued within the time specified by the distance-selling act.

If fraud is committed all information will be passed on to the relative authorities.

Thank you for assisting us in the prevention of fraud. Help us look after all our interests and stamp out fraud all together.

Warranty

All products supplied by A1 Sound will have a twelve-month manufacturer's warranty unless stated otherwise.

Should your product develop a fault in the first 14 days of delivery then the item will be collected and a new one will be dispatched as soon as possible. Please be sure the product is faulty and it is not something that you have overlooked. If the product is returned to us and found not to be faulty, then a fee will be implemented to cover collection and delivery costs and possible restocking.

Should you suspect the product to be faulty then please contact us immediately for technical assistance on 0114 3210440.

Please be aware that any product returned to A1 sound should be done so in its original packaging complete with all accessories and proof of purchase, where possible.

Should the product develop a fault after 14 days you should first call for technical assistance on 0114 3210440. If the fault cannot be rectified over the phone, you may need to return the goods back to us at your own cost, but wherever possible we will attempt collection back from you via the manufacturer.

 Please make sure the goods where possible are in original packing.

If collection cannot be arranged and you have to return the goods back to A1 Sound, please make sure they have ample insurance proof of postage via a traceable method, as we are not liable for any loss or damage in transit.

We will then at our discretion either repair or replace the goods as fast as possible.

Please be aware that the images on our website offer a fair representation of both colour and finish of products, and that due to varied settings on many PC monitors we cannot guarantee the colour you see online will be the same shade of colour you receive or a perfect match to any existing piece of furniture or product. Not all items displayed are an exact representation of their actual size in relation to other items displayed in the same image, for accurate information on the product size please see specifications.

All specifications provided to us by manufacturers is used on our web site in good faith, and updated where possible, some information may change with out any prior notice given to us, we are not responsible for the accuracy of this information

Due to manufacturers restrictions some products on our website are only available in store and cannot be sold as mail order products. Should you wish to purchase any of these items please call 0114 321 0440 to arrange a demonstration in store at your convenience.

Always keep original packing throughout the warranty period, and if possible as long as you can.

The warranty does not cover physical or cosmetic damage/abuse/fire/theft/commercial use/attempted repair by unauthorized persons.

We reserve the right to refuse our services to any prospective client, we also reserve the right to cancel any order placed on our site, where an administration error may have occurred as to the correct pricing of the item.

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

A1 Sound is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if a customer bought a new CD Player from us we would accept their old CD Player and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
