Should you wish to contact us in relation to data protection, you can find our up to date contact information on our web site.

If you believe we store or process information about you, you can e-mail us to request a copy of this information and/or information about how we use this information. We will then take steps to verify your identity, before responding to your request. There is no fee payable for this service. If we do hold information about you, and you find it to be inaccurate, you may provide accurate information and ask us to correct this. You may also request that we erase data that we hold about you, or request that we refrain from processing it in a particular way, which, after verifying your identity, we will comply with where there isn't an overriding legal reason for us to continue to store or process your data in this way.

If you have any reason for complaint in regards to how we handle personal data please contact us immediately. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office.We will not transfer personal data outside the EU and the UK.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will let you know but please regularly check this policy to ensure you are aware of the most updated version.

Security measures to protect the data: All of the data detailed above is collected via our web site/system which offers a secure connection for any data you provide and the data is stored and used securely, with only authorised personnel (and authorised personnel of our suppliers) having access to your data in order to carry out "The Purpose" (as listed above). In addition the processing of any card data complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and your (optional) password will only be stored in an encrypted format and never in "plain text".

At A1 Sound Online we take handling and processing your personal data seriously. Data you provide to A1 Sound Online is never used nor shared unlawfully with anyone outside of A1 Sound Online. We are committed to not only limiting how long we keep your data, but limiting the data we require from you when you make a purchase. This privacy policy sets out:

Who we are


A1 Sound Online is an online business at web address https://www.a1-sound.co.uk, with a physical address in Sheffield.


What personal data we collect and why we collect it


A1 Sound Online collects data from you when you contact us, or place an order. When we process an order we require your first & last name, country of residence, address, phone number and email address This is the only information A1 Sound collect and store over HTTPS secure servers provided by

1 and 1 internet providers. This data ensures we can get your order to the right address, in an acceptable time frame.

If your order is delivered by a courier we provide your phone number and or Email to the courier company, to help with delivery and send you your time slot.


Online Orders


Once you have filled in your address details you will be prompted to choose a payment type either Worldpay or Pay Pal, once you have chosen a payment method you will be redirected on a secure encrypted network to the payment provider. All other payment information is collected by one of our payment schemes; this enables Worldpay or Pay pal to process your payment.

A1 Sound Online never see your payment information, nor is it entered or logged on our servers.

A1 Sound Online also uses Google Analytics to track your location on the site. This plug-in helps us generate a picture of what customers are looking at on our site and help us tailor it to customer’s needs. Google collects your IP address to help us do this.

To use our site is to accept the use of cookies. Cookies are tiny pieces of information stored on your computer, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.



A1 Sound Telephone Orders


When we process a telephone payment we require your Debit or Credit number, expiry date and your CVC code Name and registered address, this is entered into our physical in store PDQ machine, not through the internet or online payment scheme, the card data is never recorded or stored by A1 Sound, a copy of the transaction will be sent to you with your order, this is just a receipt and does not contain you full details or Card number. The master receipt, which does not have full details recordered, is stored in a safe locked metal container, and is later totally destroyed at a separate premises, access to this is by authorised trained personal only.



Who we share your data with


When you make a payment on A1 Sound Online, you will be redirected to World Pay or Pay Pal (our payment processors). To find out who they share data with, you can find their privacy policy at https://www.worldpay.com/uk/worldpay-privacy-notice


If your order is to be delivered direct from the manufacturer, which is not usual practice, we will pass the relevant details to the manufacturer, to enable them to fulfil your order.


Other than the above companies, A1 Sound Online will not share your order details with anyone outside of A1 Sound Online and we are committed to only working with companies who have a strict GDPR policy.


How long we retain your data
We are committed to not holding your data longer than necessary. Your order data such as your name, address and contact details along with the details of what you ordered are held for 6 years in accordance with UK law. If you have not requested your data be deleted before then, it will be deleted after 6 years.

We never keep nor see your payment card details.

If you contact us by email or by writing, we will keep the information you supply for as long as necessary to deal with your request.


What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including all data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

As someone who provides us data, your rights over your data include:

1. Right of access
2. Right to challenge accuracy of data held on you
3. Right to object to the use of your personal information
4. Right to object to direct marketing
